Salim Cherfane
Salim Cherfane sees the world in pulsating colors and is very playful and vibrant, just like his sense of fashion. He collages bold colors, loud patterns and clean cuts, creating versatile ready-to-wear compositions that are graphic and fun. He was selected by starch foundation in 2018 to showcase his first fashion collection.
Born and raised in Beirut, Salim came into fashion by way of graphic design and art direction, both of which he studied at “L’Academie Libanaise des Beaux Arts”.
Design makes him happy and he would like to pay that forward by creating pieces that make people shine. “Jeux de Mains” is his first fashion label.
Jeux de Mains by Salim Cherfane is bright, playful and happy. The designs for men and women are defined by their vibrant color, bold graphics and clean silhouettes, reflecting the designer’s love of cut, paste and collage. Salim is an Art director and Graphic designer, joining Starch 2018 was the ultimate progression in Salim’s career as a fashion designer.
“I want to play; we all want to play!” exclaims Salim. His very “hands on” and tactile methods are why he named his debut label, Jeux De Mains (literally translated as Hand Games).
According to Salim: “Jeux de Mains is a refreshing everyday brand for everyone. I wanted to make comfortable pieces that bring out the inner child and add a touch of color to your life! I wanted to make pieces that are fun, light, happy and make everyone smile!”
